A rash guess, but i’m thinking its the eastern Domain in sydney, not far from the Art Gallery, with some kind of public works underway. 1920s? Not sure why the photo is taken from an elevated position tho, if thats the location. Otherwise I further guess its either the Domain or hyde park from a macquarie st office block or hyde park from elizabeth street. Perhaps the Archibald Fountain under construction.

Might the main picture in this month’s newsletter be Macquarie Street taken from the top of Martin Place? I am thinking the middle distance trees are Hyde Park and before that on the left are the entrance buildings to Hyde Park Barracks
