    Given the amount of high rise present and the number of boats floating in the bay I would suggest early 1950s era might be a strong possibility.

    At a pinch it could be very late 30s ie just pre war – but only details of specific buildings could pin this one down. Trees in the park are well developed.

    I cannot see any fibreglass boats, so I would think no later than 1960. It could be quite a lot earlier.

    I am sure more people than me will know when the Chevron Hotel was built – its not there.

    I can see Paul Keatings terrace in the middle and I think the edge of Elizabeth Bay house.

    According to the ABD online “by 1959 construction of the Chevron Hotel, Sydney…. [was] under way.”

    It opened in September 1960.
