Thursday 27 October is a special day for many archivists, it’s UNESCO World Day for Audiovisual Heritage. This year’s theme, ‘Save and savour your Audiovisual Heritage – Now!’ will be celebrated by many audiovisual archives around the world, including Australia’s National Film and Sound Archive in Canberra.
World Day for Audiovisual Heritage raises awareness of the importance of audiovisual archives and draws attention to the urgent need to safeguard them. Learn more information about these fragile and vulnerable archives.

Re: Milk. Great film. Showing my age now, the uniforms and hats are exactly what we wore in Home Economics.
My dad was a milkman and he delivered the little bottles to our school. Schools students complained about hot horrible milk, not my school, my darling dad covered our delivery of milk bottles with very wet sugar bags, out milk was always cold.
To everyone concerned with the 50th Anniversary , thank you all so much for a wonderful Day. Not only were our brains enriched, we were also well fed and watered.
Regards Rhonda Cetta-Hoye.

Thanks Rhonda, it was lovely to meet you on Friday! I think staff here got as much out of the day as those who attended. We had a ball.
