Powerhouse Museum Movable Heritage Fellowship
Movable heritage is a term used to define any natural or manufactured object of heritage significance. A student resident in New South Wales, and enrolled at any campus of a University, is annually awarded the Fellowship to undertake a research project on an object or group of objects in a community museum, historical society or other collecting institution. The student will receive $5,000 and spend a minimum of one week at the Powerhouse Museum working with a supervisor………The $5,000 Fellowship aims to
• Stimulate research into the movable heritage of New South Wales
• Increase skills in movable heritage interpretation
• Raise awareness of the importance of community collections in understanding Australian society
• Encourage students to work with community museums
