Thank you all again for responding to our April post on digital cameras in the reading room. Your comments have helped inform some very lively discussions at State Records and played a part in setting a new direction for copying in our reading rooms.

We are now committed to providing a digital camera service in our reading rooms. At this stage we are looking at the various options to find the most appropriate model.  A model that avoids some of the drawbacks and anticipated difficulties some of you have foreshadowed. We will keep you up to-date on our deliberations and certainly let you know through this blog what we decide.
