Online Photographs
There are so many ways photographs are used, catalogued and arranged online that when it comes to searching for them there are a lot of different paths you can take. Personally I’m not very adventurous with my searching. I mostly use Google Images, will occasionally trawl through Flickr and use State Records Photo Investigator when I’m looking for images like the one above to use in this blog!
Since photographs are such a popular online resource and a key part of many archival collections I thought I’d:
a) ask you what tools you use to search for them, and
b) test out our new poll software!

Do you have any tips or tricks forĀ searching for photographs? Do you have any links to some favourite image sites to share?

Thanks for the feedback Patricia. There is so much out there on the web but tracking it down is another matter entirely! Depending on your area of interest there are some great sites e.g. The Smithsonian National Zoological Park Backyard Biology Gallery
