• Describing Archives in Context: A Guide to Australasian Practice
  (This guide is produced by the Australian Society of Archivists and explains the Series System of archival description. It contains examples from both small and large archives.)
• ISAD(G): General International Standard Archival Description, Second edition
  (This standard provides general guidance for the preparation of archival descriptions.)
• ISAAR(CPF): International Standard Archival Authority Record for Corporate Bodies, Persons, and Families, Second edition
  (This standard provides guidance for the preparation of descriptions of entities such as coporate bodies, persons anf families associated with the creation and maintenance of archives.)
